Before I left for Nicaragua I stayed in Atlanta with AIM in preparation to leave. Although anxiety built as we came close to launching, the holy spirit was surrounding us. When we worshiped together the nights prior, I just listened to everyone else and realized a few things about my team members. Instead of us sitting the satisfaction of our obedience, we were singing how he loves us, how great is our God and about our profound unworthiness. Thats such a portrait of our walk with God, we aren't good, He is who makes us clean, washes our feet and considers us valuable.
The next day we spent 7 hours in the airport waiting for a flight that night. In a place where we all have a reason to doubt and fear we all laughed and hung out with each other as if we we where headed off to Cancun for a week. God was holding us all and reminding us of our purpose. Following.
After the flight we rode three hours in the back of truck that held all of our bags and all 25 of us. Despite the troubles that follow riding in a truck with a roof of tarp held by pipes, we all felt joy and sang and laughed together.
Now we are settled in Nicaragua and some of my teammates and I did Insanity together in the morning and had an amazing breakfast by some of the ladies who live where we are camped.
We all feel blessed beyond measure and are ready to serve and be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
